It was a great showing for TTC at the Eastern Area Judo Championships in Thetford at the weekend.  Alana Taylor-Weeden looking effortless en route to the Gold, winning all her contests with maximum point throws, with the final contest concluding in just two seconds. Brother Perry had a tougher time in his category, coming up against 15 year olds and higher graded players, but still winning a well deserved bronze.

Rowan Lockyear has been long overdue an Area title and this was the year that the Year 10 student was to take two! As well as carrying an injury and winning his weight category, Rowan doubled up by winning the category above, with some dominant displays and nice technique, including a massive Tia Otoshi for Ippon to take the Gold.

It was then just left to Club Coach and Maths Teacher Mr Salter to make sure that nobody from TTC left empty handed. With experience on his side, he never looked in danger and cruised through his contests with Ippon throws and holds to become the Area Champion!

Well done everyone!
