GREAT MATHEMATICIANS!

Congratulations to Josh Barkley and Ayden Doyle who have both qualified for the Senior Maths Kangaroo based on their outstanding performance in the senior maths challenge recently. Only 3000 students qualify for this event so for TTC to have 2 students qualifying for the competition is a fantastic achievement. They sit the paper on Friday. Good luck to Josh and Ayden.

Well done to our Micromouse competitors! Our students were competing against over 18s! Michael Linwood was only 3 seconds behind the last senior in the non contact wall follower. They are already planning their next campaign. Mr Clapson said “our students are great and they really enjoyed themselves”.

Potential Lawyers rule!

Well done to the following students who went to Chelmsford Crown Court  on Sat 15th for a mock trial. They took on some tough schools and narrowly missed out on the finals. Ms Wood, Miss Kelly and Miss Khan were very proud of their budding lawyers:

Lord Of The Flies

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of going to Norwich Theatre Royal to watch Matthew Bourne's adaptation of Lord of the Flies. The story was told entirely through dance. It was a very powerful production with outstanding performances by all the young male dancers. It was all the more special because our own Jack Speck, Year 9, was in the cast. Jack has been in numerous productions including the Thorpe campus production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ when he played Seymour. Jack attends Stagestruck Academy and has performed at the O2 and Disney Land Paris. Well done Jack.
