There is a high correlation between mathematics, musical composition (all the ratios between notes, chords and harmonies) and imaginative writing (Lewis Carroll aka Charles Dobson was an Oxford maths lecturer) http://nrich.maths.org/1930 and then there's the writers of the Simpsons who were ex-Harvard and Yale Mathematicians (http://www.simonsingh.net/Simpsons_Mathematics/)

With that in mind have a look at the ‘Mo Math’ flier in this week’s issue of College News and take part!

It seems early to be talking about the exam season but our Catering students are already facing their practical exams in Year 11.  I am currently doing my round of assemblies to all Year groups and the theme is self motivation, taking on the challenge, setting your sights on what you want to achieve and meticulously planning what you must do to get what you want.

Have a look on You Tube at "race the tube" and see if you can see what I mean.
