The Year 9s have moved to Frinton campus following a lovely presentation afternoon. It was so good to hear the cast of "Little Shop of Horrors" singing again. Our guest speaker was Kevin Smith who is part of our Alumni network. Kevin is a key account manager - corporate at Monster, a global recruitment agency. Kevin will be our guest speaker again for the Year 8 presentation afternoon this week. We also have the Year 7 presentation afternoon this week. The guest speaker will be another member of our Alumni network, Mr Tim Glasby. Tim is a Solicitor for the corporate legal department at Travelers. We value greatly our ex students who come back to support and mentor our students and share their experiences of the world of work in the very varied careers that they have followed. If you are an ex student and would like to be part of this network please email us. We would really like to hear from you.

Every year we say goodbye to some staff and welcome our new staff. We wish all of our staff who are moving on success and happiness for the future and thank them for their hard work and commitment to our students. They will be missed.

I would like to mention two members of staff in particular who have given many years service to the college and our students.

Dan Browning will be moving to Cyprus to take up his first Headship at a Ministry of Defence school. This is a much deserved promotion. He has contributed greatly to the success of Tendring Technology College and has been so determined to keep our focus on trying to achieve outstanding learning in every lesson, every day. We wish him and his family every success and happiness for the future.

Alison Chivers has been our SENCO for many years and her care and support of our students who have special educational needs has ensured that they have been valued and successful learners often through to the 6th form and beyond. We are proud of the work that she has done and we wish her a long and happy retirement. It is well deserved.

I wish all of our students the very best of luck with their exams. I will see you all on results day. Have a lovely summer break.
