This morning (Monday) I joined the staff mustering the Year 11s for their trial Maths exam. I would like to congratulate the Year 11s for their maturity and approach to this exam. They were a credit and demonstrated what a superb group of young people they are. We so want them to do well in their final exams which are approaching fast. I urge all parents of Year 11 students to attend the next parents’ evening.  Prioritise your appointments to meet staff in those subjects where you or your son/daughter has a concern. All Year 11s should be studying every evening.

Tendring Technology College is a member of the Prince's Teaching Institute (PTI). Prince Charles is the patron of this organisation and its focus is on the quality of subject specialists. English, History, Geography and Science are already notable members of the PTI. I am delighted to report also that TTC has been recognised with the
Leadership award by the PTI for the second time.

Congratulations to all of our students who contribute so positively to their local community. In particular, this week, I would like to say a huge well done to the Year 8 students and staff who have worked so hard to make the public footpath to Thorpe Station a safe place to walk. Well done to all of you.

I am looking forward to the Dance show on Thursday at the Columbine Centre in Walton. I hope to see you there.
