It was lovely to meet up with Mr & Mrs Keeys, parents of Gary Keeys, who we sadly lost a short while ago. They came to thank the staff who had been such a support to Gary through his final days.
I would like to thank all the parents who take the time to write letters to us and to say thank you for the work and support that staff give to our students. It is often easier to complain than to commend and it makes it very special when parents take the time to tell us what we have done well. I have recently received a letter from Andrew Cook HMI, Regional Director, East of England requesting that I promote Parent View among the parents and carers at TTC. If you felt able to do so, you could give Ofsted your views by following the link here parentview.ofsted.gov.uk
Congratulations to Mrs Claire Sibley MRSC, who is now an accredited member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. I am particularly delighted with this as I studied chemistry myself at university and I am always pleased when chemistry is such a vibrant and popular subject. Mrs Sibley has done much to create that at TTC.
I would like to congratulate everyone who is involved in the Jeremiah Project. This is a project based in Walton and is centred on supporting young people to achieve their potential. I am proud to say that TTC is very much involved with the project through the work of Ben Pratt, Student Support Managers and Assistant Directors of Learning who work in conjunction with Lucy Masters (Youth Worker) to support young people in developing their self-esteem and confidence. TTC will continue to support this very worthwhile project.
