Shakespeare with Primary Schools

11 - 12 February

Frinton Campus

On Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 February 2015 TTC students will be showcasing their Shakespearean talents with representatives from our Primary School partners.

To develop arts and cultural engagement across the Teaching School Alliance, TTC successfully bid for funding from the Royal Opera House Bridge organisation. This funding has facilitated TTC working with Wix and Wrabness Primary School, Hamford Primary Academy and Market Fields Special School.

Work has been ongoing since September 2014 and as a celebration of some of the work that has been undertaken as part of the project, we will be reviving our 2014 Shakespeare Schools Festival performances and performing sonnets and monologues from Shakespeare.

Wednesday 11 February TTC’s ‘As You Like It’ cast will be sharing the stage with the Year 6 cast from Wix and Wrabness Primary School and their fabulous production of ‘Twelfth Night’.

The evening of Thursday the 12 February will be shared with the energetic Year 6 cast from Hamford Primary Academy and their vibrant production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

All three abridged performances were graded at Distinction level by Trinity London at the festival in November.

Show starts at 7pm and tickets cost just £5.
