Easter Community Challenge

posted 16 Apr 2015, 04:44 by kbetteridge@tendringtechnologycollege.org
Wednesday 25 March - the Year 9's had their final leg of the Easter community challenge. Ten students and one bunny hid a clutch of chocolate eggs and led the Year 1 students from Rolph primary school on an educational egg hunt.  The Easter bunny provided entertainment for staff and students alike.

The Year 1's were engaged and thoroughly enjoyed the 'hunt'. The ten students (and one bunny) were not the only members of the community challenge, we had a team of students who visited Rolph school at the start of the term and planned relevant and insightful questions based on the Year 1's current work. Another team were busy every morning decorating egg boxes to ensure the students had a pretty case to carry their finds.

We want to say a huge thank you to Rolph primary school and the Year 1's for being so welcoming and engaged.

A big well done to ALL of the students involved, so kind and caring to give up their time, there is a true community feel at TTC.

Miss E Mansfield
Assistant Director of Learning, Year 9
