Curriculum Equality Statement

In this section of the website you will find out more about our curriculum, how it is structured and the subjects within it.

At Tendring Technology College we follow the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. However, we are keen to ensure that students are educated beyond the strict limits of the National Curriculum and that they undertake a wide range of educational experiences aimed at enriching and extending their abilities and understanding.

Our curriculum offer is broad and balanced but also personalised and inclusive, so as to meet the needs of every individual wherever possible.

The curriculum is designed to insure that there is a curriculum that promotes tolerance and friendship and one which shares an understanding of a range of religions or cultures. This is delivered through dedicated PSHE, and Religious Education lessons in Years 7 to 9. The college also promotes these values at KS4 through PSHE lessons, tutor time, assemblies and the students also have the option to study Philosophy and Ethics at both KS4 and KS5. The college also runs a Multi-cultural day every year at KS3 which promotes cultures and religions across the world.
